How to get here
Stongfjorden is a small village about 200km north of
Bergen. You will find Stongfjorden in a European
Road Atlas but probably not in an atlas. There are no
street names in the village and no house numbers as the postmen know where everyone lives!
Bergen to Stongfjorden by Express Boat
Fjord1 operates a regular service several times a day to Askvoll. The journey takes about 2 1/2 hours and is
fast, comfortable and reliable. We can arrange to meet you off the boat to drive the last few miles to
Stongfjorden. Check the website for a timetable

Bergen to Stongfjorden by car
From Bergen follow the E39 north bound all the way to Forde.
Just before you enter the town there is a left hand turn off for the 609. Stay on this for around 40minutes until you arrive in Stongfjorden. This journey involves one short ferry crossing over the Sogn og Fjord. Ferries run very frequently from Oppedal on the south side to Lavik.
Bergen Airport to Bergen Ferry Terminal
There are busses to the city centre that stop at the fisketorget and the SAS hotels. It is a brisk 10minute walk to the ferry terminal. A taxi will be quicker but will cost about £25.00.
